NID Announces five day workshop on Ergonomics and User Centered Design

National Institute of Design (NID), announced a five-day design workshop on “Ergonomics and User Centered Design” during 18-22 September 2017 at NID campus, Ahmedabad, Gujarat. This will be conducted by Dr Subir Das. The Department of Industry & Online Programmes (I&OP) at NID integrates design knowledge and education with the varied segments of industry, commerce and service sectors. The key focus of the present workshop is to sensitize the participants to the knowledge of ergonomics and how it can be used as a tool for designing user-friendly products, tasks and work environments and thereby would help them to develop the much-needed confidence to face today’s highly competitive and saturated global markets. This workshop will be conducted by different NID faculty members and anchored by Dr Subir Das, Principal Faculty in Ergonomics. At NID he is associated with teaching, research, training and consultancy in design ergonomics, injury prevention, risk assessment, occupational health and safety.
