CleanMax Solar, India’s leading solar solutions provider, has been acknowledged as ‘India’s largest rooftop solar developer’ for the third consecutive year, in the latest Bridge to India (BTI) report. BTI’s ‘India Solar Rooftop Map 2017’ pegs CleanMax Solar’s market share at 24%, up from 23% as per BTI Rooftop Map 2016. A made is America week has been announced by the White House. The 50 states will feature crafts and other items in a product showcase. The Trump administration will honour the products and companies producing in the United States of America with an aim to increase in-house production. They also want to showcase their world class craftsmanship in various exhibitions while encouraging Americans to buy from American sellers. Made in America week comes as the Trump administration is nearing decisions on a number of trade matters. No official declaration has been made about the possibility of import tariffs among other measures to boost the Made in America series.
In a move to remove the famous Diplodocus dinosaur ‘Dippy’ which was installed in the Natural History Museum of UK in 1979, A blue whale skeleton was installed. Soon to be unveiled by David Attenborough, the 25-metre long skeleton will be the focal point of the Hintze Hall. The dinosaur, on the other hand, will be on tour of the various museums of the country with an intention to reach the furthest parts of the UK for all to experience natural history.
London -based Opendesk has collaborated with designers in Chicago as well as London to launch furniture pieces that do not require any tools to assemble. The desk and shelf launched do not require screws, glue or hinges and uses the Japenese techniques of joinery. The desk can be folded down and dismantled anytime creating more room of experimenting with new designs. The designs are reinterpreted to suit digital fabrication. Opendesk describes itself as a "global platform for local making". It connects designers with makers to produce objects on demand and also offers users the opportunity to download, make and buy furniture for their workspaces.

The city of Melbourne unveils 35 million dollar plan for six acres of public spaces to be created by 2020. This plan includes 1 km of bicycle area and includes major upgrades in urban design. Some of the focuses are better public transport, flood mitigation, increased biodiversity and other areas of ‘green’ architecture. Southbank is one of the most densely populated suburbs which is currently home to 20,000 residents and 50,000 office workers. The addition of six acres of open space is intended to support this population, which is expected to rise by 175 percent over the next 15 years.
BIG, a Danish firm designs an invisible museum for Tirpitz Bunker in Blåvand, Denmark. It is based beside a German bunker of the second world war and already housed a small museum. The new design opens the plan for natural lighting with six-metre tall glass walls.The walls of the galleries are formed from cast-in-situ concrete, which supports 36-metre cantilevering roof decks engineered by Swiss firm Lüchinger+Meyer. The Army of Concrete gallery shares the history of Hitler's plans for a vast network of defensive coastal structures known as the Atlantic Wall. Work on the 800-square-metre museum began in 2014 and opened last week. It is expected to attract around 100,000 visitors to the area each year.

Dubai Holding signed a deal with Jabal Omar Development Company for a new five-star hotel overlooking Mecca’s Grand Mosque. The proposed four towers will comprise 1,033 guest rooms, 93 villas and over 90 other units. The hotel is slated to open in early 2019. This will take the total number of hotels of the Jumeirah Group to 22.
