Schneider will execute the building management along with smart grid solutions, integrated control centre among other exclusive features to this project. The project will have data sensors to aid the development authority to control as well as monitor the smart city. The advanced technology used for mobility and analytics will work together with all the elements of the city, that is, the social, insfrastructure, economic as well as the physical space.

Carlo Ratti’s Reveals New Designs For Personalised Cooling In A Commercial Space

Carlo Ratti, head of the Senseable City Lab of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology has designed a technology system, for personalised cooling and heating in a commercial space. Designed for an office in Turin, this system uses a connected scheme of sensors that monitor employees while they move around the building. The sensors in the false ceiling are acitivated upon the movement of the employee creating customised thermal bubbles that change to suit the need of the employee. The system can be operated by the employees via an app to fill in their preferences for the same.

Somany Ceramics Opens Two New Showrooms

Somany Ceramics Ltd has inaugurated two new stores at Dwarka and Gurgaon in New Delhi. The showroom at Gurgaon is 2500 sq ft while the Dwarka showroom is 3500 sq ft. Somany Ceramics Limited at present has more than 12,000 touch points over India with 1,800 merchants. By the end of the financial year of 2017-18, Somany plans to open 200 more stores under their franchisee and experience centres.
