St+art Mumbai 2017: India’s International Street Art Festival Heads To Mumbai For Its Second Edition

St+art Mumbai 2017 will reflect upon the nature and DNA of the city through the lens of site specific projects in its most significant locations. Dharavi and Sassoon Dock will be the main focus for art interventions ranging from colourful murals, installations, workshops, film screenings and a range of events that will bring various communities together. There will also be 3 other special projects in Churchgate Station, Jindal Mansion and the Western Railways. The aim of the project is to connect these areas of modern Mumbai which seem so distant from one another, yet are part of a shared history, and explore how integral these spaces have been to the cultural history and development of Mumbai. Starting from 10th October to 30th December, St+art Mumbai will bring together artists, national, international and local, who will add to the city of dreams a touch of contemporary public art. An initiative of the St+art India foundation who have organised 6 other festivals prior to this in cities like Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Mumbai, the St+art festival returns to Mumbai to build on the work done in the first edition. The festival is wholeheartedly supported by Asian Paints which shares the foundation’s vision of spreading art across public spaces in India.Over 30 Indian and international artists, as well as urban designers, will be part of this festival. Hurun Report a leading luxury publishing and events group which is globally recognised for its comprehensive evaluation of the world’s wealthiest individuals today unveils the list of richest real estate entrepreneurs in India. This is the first time a serious attempt has been made to understand about the real estate entrepreneurs and to highlight their achievement through the rich list as a medium.

Key Findings:

  • Delhi based Tycoon Kushal Pal Singh (86) of DLF is the real estate king of India
  • Kushal Pal Singh tops the list with a wealth of INR 23, 460 crores, followed by Mumbai based Mangal Prabhat Lodha from Lodha group with wealth INR 18,610 crore and Bengaluru based Jithendra Virwani from Embassy Property Developments with a wealth of 16,700 crore
  • Smitha V Crishna (66), of Godrej properties, is the richest woman with a fortune of INR 2,210 crore
  • The Menda family owns and runs RMZ Corp the most valuable commercial space developer in South India, valued at INR 19,230 crore
  • Average wealth of GROHE Hurun India real estate rich list 2017 is INR 1,969 crore
  • 60% of the list is first generation entrepreneurs
  • Average age 56. The top 10’s average age is 60. The youngest is Kunal Menda (23) with a net worth of INR 660 crore and the oldest is Prithvi Raj Singh Oberoi (88) of East India hotels with a net worth of INR 3,120 crore
  • 7 under 40 and 4 individuals above 80

Cera Launches New Brand Jeet For Affordable Segment

CERA, India’s premium home solutions brand, has launched a new brand of sanitaryware, Jeet, aimed at the fastest growing affordable segment.  Jeet was unveiled by Deepshikha Khaitan at Ahmedabad, in the presence of the top management team and the entire sales force of CERA. “Jeet will capitalize on the growing need for an affordable range in sanitaryware,” said, Atul Sanghvi, Executive Director, CERA after the launch event. Jeet is aimed at sanitation for all. Jeet will consist of basic sanitaryware—EWCs, Orissa Pans, Wash Basins in different sizes and Urinals. Despite the recent market aberrations, CERA has been growing steadily. While CERA is well-placed in the mid and premium segments, it already has Italian luxury designer sanitaryware ISVEA for the luxury segment.  With the launch of JEET for the mass segment, CERA now reaches out to all segments.
